Be the leader you had

Think of who you are and where you come from. Now, think about how you got here. Who helped you along the way?

All of us have someone. I certainly do. That person, or persons, who marked a defining part of our life. They made a mark or impression on you that forever changed who you were as a person and your outlook on life.

Be that person…

Those you lead are looking for their someone, knowingly or unknowingly, to mark their journey. Be available. Be honest. Be approachable. BE that influencer.

You want to be a great leader? Be the great leader you had.

Confidence

Confidence will take you further than you think. Individually as well as your company. The difference between you and your competitors, and what could possibly mean standing out amongst the crowd, could simply be the way you carry yourself. Live the mindset. Take control of the situation. If you believe you’re the best at what you do, act like it. #confidence #control #wellness #living

Delegate

The whole point of leadership management is to better the lives of those working for you. So, give them a reason to be proud to work for you. Don’t be a leader that shows success by doing everything yourself. That only proves that you know what your employees SHOULD be doing, and nothing else. Learn to delegate. Learn to relinquish some responsibility to your trusted employees. And if you don’t trust them, you have no one to blame but yourself. #leadership #trust #delegate #Management

Be Honest With Those You Lead

Having the trust and loyalty of a team comes with sacrifice and accountability as a leader. Own up to mistakes you’ve made and learn from them. Those who follow you respect honesty. Poor leaders will deflect in times of famine and take credit in times of feast. Own your team’s performance during good times and in bad, and your team will respect you for it. So today, own your team. Show them you have their back even when numbers are down. Show them that you’re their real leader.
