Possessing a leadership role is a privilege, honor and fiduciary responsibility. Don’t ever take for granted your ability to motivate or demotivate those you lead. Anyone can motivate a team, and the ability to recognize low morale and a demotivated team is a necessary characteristic of a good leader. HOWEVER, the ability to reverse that downfall and maintain consistent, positive motivation is a key characteristic and sign of a GREAT leader.
Try to find more humility this week. I constantly find myself using first person pronouns way too often during my daily conversations. Join me in making a more conscious effort to ask genuine questions about others and those you meet, rather than telling others about yourself. Listen more intently. Everyone deserves a chance to be heard. Try and learn something from everyone you interact with.
Be an over achiever. I’ve never understood the mindset of those who are content with doing the bare minimum to get by. You only get one shot at making your mark on this world. Take every opportunity that comes your way and give it everything you have. There is absolutely no point or reasoning behind “just getting by.” Don’t waste your time here on Earth, and certainly don’t waste anyone else’s time by dragging your feet. Be confident. Be motivated. Strive to over achieve.
Here we are, people! I did it. It’s done. I made it through this weird diet journey, and I have to say, I have never felt better. Back on day 3, I said the ultimate goal for me was to allow my body to “reset.” To flush my body of processed foods and MSG.
